Transforming Your Care Consultation Event for CO3 Members – Wednesday 5th December

Transforming Your Care Consultation Event for CO3 Members – Wednesday 5th December

Transforming Your Care is the biggest change in health and social care delivery in a generation.

Minister Poots has now launched a consultation on ‘Transforming Your Care: Vision to Action’.  This consultation document summarises the major changes proposed to Northern Ireland’s Health and Social Care system. This is a critical moment for those who lead third sector organisations that work in the health and social care arena.  There is a role for the third sector outlined in Transforming Your Care (TYC).  It will be important for leaders in the sector to engage in the consultation and consider the impact that TYC will have on their organisation.

CO3’s Health and Social Care special interest group has been tracking TYC over the past 12 months, met with John Compton and other key members of the TYC team.  We are now inviting all CO3 members to a special TYC consultation event. This event will:

  • Provide a brief overview of the changes proposed under TYC
  • Consider the routes for engagement for third sector leaders, into the new structures proposed by TYC, shaping some of the values in TYC.
  • Enable a collaborative design of the new system i.e. looking at ways in which engagement with the sector can be enabled.
  • Assess the needs that third sector leaders might have to build capacity for them and their organisations to respond to TYC.

Speakers on the day include: Pamela McCready, Director of Transforming Your Care and Emma Holden, Transforming your Care team.

Date: Wednesday 5th December
Time: 10am
Venue: CO3, 34 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast, BT2 7DB
