Say Hello to our International Advisor - Dr John Brothers
CO3 are delighted to have Dr John Brothers as our international advisor. John has worked closely with CO3 since 2012 when he came to speak at our conference. John has since provided training for our Interim Executives as well as advising CO3, providing support, advice and avenues for possible funding. John has continued to contribute to CO3 providing other masterclasses dealing with succession planning as well as how to assess an organisations capacity.
In his new voluntary role with CO3, John will:
- Provide CO3 with international perspectives based on research and best practice from the USA and other countries.
- Advise CO3 on executive leadership, third sector effectiveness, sustainability and assisting organisations in both organisational growth and decline.
- Collaborate with CO3 in the development of new models, processes and programmes to enhance third sector leadership in Northern Ireland
- Advise CO3 on the effective delivery of its charitable objectives.
We are delighted to have John on board with us in CO3 and to continue our working relationship with him.
More about Dr John Brothers:
John Brothers currently serves as the President of the T. Rowe Price Foundation and President of the Program for Charitable Giving. Dr. Brothers comes to T. Rowe Price from Quidoo Consulting, a international consulting firm he started and led for over a decade. At Quidoo, Dr. Brothers was responsible for growing the firm and working with over 400 clients in twelve countries throughout the globe.
Dr. Brothers has a Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University, an MPA in Nonprofit Management from New York University and an MBA in Public Policy from American Public University from which he started at Columbia. He has taken additional studies at Georgetown University and the London School of Economics. He served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University and New York University and recently served as a Visiting Scholar at the Hauser Center at Harvard University. He is currently serving as an International Advisor to CO3, an intermediary organization serving Northern Ireland.
Dr. Brothers has been a writer with the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Nonprofit Quarterly and the Huffington Post and has been an author or co-author of several books, the most recent one is to be released in the fall of 2015. He has been interviewed, referenced or quoted in dozens of local, national and international media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, ABC News, The New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Brothers has spoken to thousands on nonprofit and philanthropic effectiveness
Dr. Brothers serves or has served on a number of boards, currently serving as the Chair for the Alliance for Nonprofit Management.
