About the Event

‘Psychometrics’ can seem like a mysterious and slightly unnerving term.  Perhaps you may have been exposed to a psychometric and not quite seen its merit? Or perhaps you see the merit in psychometrics but are not quite sure which tool to use in which organisational context? Or you may well be trained to administer some tools but have difficulty convincing your organisation of the benefits? In this session Paula demystifies psychometrics by explaining what it is, the business rationale for tool usage and how, when used properly, psychometrics can significantly assist in the areas of recruitment and selection, leadership development, succession planning, dealing with conflict, managing teams and indeed managing yourself. A selection of sample tools and reports will also be available for your perusal, with the option to undertake a psychometric at a later stage should you wish. While this session will not make you an expert in the field, or qualify you to use a specific tool, it will give you an understanding of where you can use the techniques in your business and will increase your knowledge and comfort in the area.
