The consultation document sets out the Department’s view about how volunteering can be encouraged and strengthened over the next five years. The consultation document contains over 40 proposals which may shape the final Volunteering Strategy. The main issues addressed in the consultation are: - How can we improve the experience volunteers have?
- How can we ensure the right services are in place to support volunteering?
- How can we recognise the importance of volunteering?
- How can we enhance diversity and accessibility in volunteering?
The Volunteer Development Agency is running a workshop specifically for CO3 Members to hear the views of Chief Executives of Voluntary or Community organisation to help ensure that the strategy meets the needs of volunteers and the organisations which involve them.
