CO3 Announces Investment in Leaders of Smaller Third Sector Organisations! Are you a leader of a smaller voluntary or community organisation with a turnover of £100K - £250K and have responsibility for staff or volunteers? If so, CO3 – Chief Officers Third Sector can help support you in your role. Jackie White CO3’s Head of Leadership Development stated;“In delivering this cutting-edge tailored programme of leadership development, CO3 is recognising that leaders of smaller organisations often have specific multiple challenges, all the more complex during these times of change and tightening funding. We’ve responded to member needs with this programme specifically designed for leaders of smaller voluntary organisations”. CO3 is delivering a broad range of activities helping its members to do their jobs to the highest standard. This tailored programme has received funding for 6 years from Lloyds TSB Foundation Creating Change.
Programme and the initial year 1 programme will include: - A mentoring programme to enable third, public and private sector Chief Executives to share best practice, thereby strengthening the economic and emotional prosperity of NI Civic Society. Up to twelve leaders of smaller third sector organisations can avail of a place on the mentoring programme, which will match leaders with other leaders on a project or issue specific basis for a 12 month period. This is free of charge and interest in this programme is already extremely high so contact us as soon as possible to register you interest.
- An initial event exploring the current operating context for Chief Officers of smaller voluntary organisations in terms of challenges and what these challenges mean for scenario planning and problem solving.
- 3 further sessions will be delivered for members who are leaders of smaller organisations to increase their knowledge and skills:
a. Managing Change – A Practical Toolkit for managing change in organisations.b. Management V Leadership – Understanding management and leadership and the key differences in each. c. Surviving the Funding Crisis – understanding the context and examples of creative solutions.
