Expense Reduction Analysis

Date & Time: 12.30pm-2pm, 15th September 2010

Venue: 34 Shaftesbury Square Belfast BT2 7DB

About the Event

Many voluntary and community organisations are expecting significant cuts in funding and have to reduce their financial outgoings.  In this difficult time, NICVA and CO3 are working together to help support their respective members.  One of the options that might help organisations reduce costs is the use of external expense analysts.  Expense analysts work with company directors and their senior management colleagues to achieve additional profit/contribution to reserves by reducing strategic and non-strategic overhead costs. This joint event between CO3 and NICVA is running as a lunchtime session on 15 September and will allow delegates to find out some simple tips on reducing costs, learn about the process of using an expense analyst and hear from a peer member about her own experience of using an expense analyst and of the real savings that she made.

Venue: 34 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast

About the Event

In a difficult funding environment, it is more important than ever to build and manage organisational reserves.  E.g. If you are having to consider making redundancies – do you have the reserves available to support your redundancy policy?  This short, lunchtime workshop will explain how to draw up a reserves policy, help you determine what level or range of reserves your organisation needs, and explore how to raise reserves and how to cope if you can't reach your desired level of reserves. It will also give participants an opportunity to discuss good and bad practice among funders in relation to reserves and how we can support good practice and work together to change bad practice.
